Statistics: Russian coal output falls 2.7% in December
MOSCOW, Jan 23 (PRIME) -- Russia’s coal output coal output fell 2.7% on the year but grew 2.7% on the month in December, , the Federal State Statistics Service said on Monday.
It increased 3.4% on the year to 385 million tonnes in 2016, it said.
Russia’s production of iron ore concentrate grew 0.3% on the year to 101 million tonnes in 2016, and production of metallurgical coal coke rose 1.2% to 26.3 million tonnes in the period, the service said.
